Trolley jack rubber pad – pinch weld adapter for VW, Audi, SEAT and Å koda
This rubber jack pad is a proper, sensible bit of kit to stop nasty damage when you’re lifting your car. Pop it on a trolley or scissor jack saddle and it cushions the contact point so pinch welds, paint and protective coatings aren’t chewed up by bare metal. No more fretting about rust setting in where the paint’s been scraped off — that’s especially handy in winter.
Why this matters
Garage jacks and tyre-fitters often use bare metal saddles that can gouge or strip the protective coating at the jacking point. Once that happens rust can set in and the jacking point becomes weaker — not ideal and potentially dangerous. This rubber adapter prevents that by spreading the load a little, absorbing shocks and stopping metal-to-metal contact.
Features and use cases
- Made from purpose-designed, durable rubber — built to cope with repeated use whether you’re in the workshop or doing it at home.
- Anti-slip profile keeps the jack saddle steady, reducing slipping or movement while the vehicle’s up in the air.
- Soft enough to protect the vehicle’s pinch weld yet tough enough to support lifting with a trolley jack or the scissor jack supplied with many cars.
- Perfect for quick tyre changes, roadside repairs, MOT prep and routine maintenance — no faffing about with makeshift protection.
- Particularly suitable for many VW, Audi, SEAT and Škoda models — check your scissor jack profile to confirm the fit.
Quick notes: the pad sits on top of the jack saddle and should be positioned so it contacts the vehicle’s jacking point evenly. Some cars have slightly different pinch-weld shapes, so if in doubt have a look at the profile of your scissor jack or the trolley jack saddle first. The pack contains one rubber jack pad — light, compact and easy to keep in the boot.
