Installation is straightforward, as the pump comes with a grommet for a secure fit in the washer bottle. The washer pump is located at the bottom of the washer bottle, and you may need to partially remove the inner wheel arch or bumper trim for access. The pump is designed to be push-fitted into the washer bottle, and the washer pipes can also be push-fitted on. In cases where the pipes are hard to remove, gently heating them with a hair dryer will make the process easier.
To ensure the longevity of your washer pump, never allow it to run dry, as this can lead to failure. It’s advisable to use a high-quality windscreen washer fluid and to maintain a higher level of fluid than recommended to prevent freezing. Always add windscreen washer fluid before topping up with water and avoid putting anti-freeze into the washer bottle.
